Redeeming the JMT Download Card

Your JMT "Concert Songs" card has a code printed on the back, which can be used to download the songs to your computer. You can then listen to the songs using any program that can open an .mp3 file, like Windows Media Player, iTunes, WinAmp, and many more.

You may click on the image to the left to enter your code and redeem the card. A second, smaller window will pop up so that you can begin the process of saving the songs to your computer.

NOTES:

Please check your browser settings to see the location of downloaded files on your computer. Some browsers may be set to automatically download files to a certain location. However, you may have set your browser up differently. In general:

  • Windows Internet Explorer allows you to choose the download location at the time of your download. If you do not select an alternate location (such as your Windows Desktop), Internet Explorer will download your file into C:\Downloads. We highly recommend saving the file to your Windows Desktop.

  • Firefox will (by default) download your file into C:\Downloads. You can change this setting in Tools >> Options >> General >> Downloads.

  • Safari (by default) will download your file into [primary HD]/Users/[username]/Downloads. This can be changed by selecting Safari >> Preferences >> Save downloaded files to...

If you cannot locate the downloaded .zip file, try searching your hard drive for a file named JMT_Concert_Songs.zip. This is a 68MB Compressed (.zip) file.

To extract the audio files, right-click the file (in Windows) and select "Extract All..." This process will create a folder called JMT_Concert_Songs, and will contain all of the individual audio files.

You may then delete the .zip file, or save it as a backup.*

To use with iTunes: Open iTunes, and from the File menu, select "Add Folder to Library...". Browse to the location of the new JMT_Concert_Songs folder, and select that folder. iTunes will import all of the songs into it's library. From there you can sync your iPod and take Concert Songs with you wherever you go.

For other audio players, please refer to the documentation or help system that came with your player.

*REMINDER: When you purchase music legally, you are supporting artists and encouraging them to keep making great music for you. You can keep a backup copy for yourself, but it is against the law to make copies of music files to give to friends.
